Our modern diet often leaves us overfed and undernourished. The food we eat are often calories rich, yet nutrients deficient. We rely heavily on processed food that is stripped of nutrients, and high in undesirable high fructose corn syrup and trans fat, causing heart and weight related health problems. Our soil is also depleted of nutrients from modern farming practice, making our food less nutritious.
Our modern lifestyle is also often trapped in stress. Prolong or intense stress can lead to adrenal fatigue, known as the "21st Century Stress Syndrome” in James Wilson’s book, it can wreak havoc on your hormonal system, creating problems such as chronic exhaustion, poor focus, weight gain, inflammation, decreased libido and many more.
Advances in technology may benefit producers and distributors, but are genetically modified food (GMO), food additives, preservatives and irradiation really good for the consumer? They are often associated with serious side effects such as allergies, high cholesterol, liver and kidney damage, cancer, immune disorders and the list goes on.
